The College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Head of Facilities and Maintenance to join our team on a full-time basis.
The Assistant Head of Facilities and Maintenance is responsible for working with our Head of Facilities and Maintenance in the day-to-day management of the College's facilities, including overseeing and managing all aspects of site maintenance and safety, coordinating and supervising contractors, and ensuring the smooth operation of the College and our facilities. The Assistant Head of Facilities and Maintenance will also assist in developing and implementing maintenance policies, respond to maintenance requests and emergencies, and maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.
As the Assistant Head of Facilities and Maintenance, your responsibilities will involve:
- Overseeing and managing all aspects of site maintenance and daily operations
- Team leadership of Maintenance staff
- Coordination and supervision of contractors to ensure high-quality and timely work
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of College facilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and procedures
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and contractor works
- Ensure that safety standards are maintained at all times
To be considered for this opportunity you will have:
- Proven experience in site management and contractor coordination
- Trade experience in carpentry, electrical or plumbing would be highly regarded
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong focus on safety
