We are seeking a qualified Carpenter to join our team on a permanent full time basis.

The Role

As a Carpenter at St Augustine's College, you will be an integral part of our Maintenance Team, bringing a complementary skillset to support the upkeep and enhancement of our campus. Your expertise in carpentry and general handyman skills will be essential in maintaining the high standards of our facilities.

As the College Carpenter, your responsibilities will involve:

  • Performing a wide range of carpentry tasks with precision and attention to detail
  • Utilising your general handyman skills to assist with various maintenance and repair projects
  • Undertaking projects such as office renovation and relocation, building internal walls, fencing, doors etc
  • Engaging in a variety of tasks, ensuring no two days are the same.
  • Conducting training and providing direction for casual staff as required
  • Ensuring that safety standards are maintained at all times

To be considered for this opportunity you will have:

  • Extensive experience and licensed in carpentry
  • Strong general handyman skills
  • Experience in plaster-board, tiling and painting would be highly advantageous
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong focus on safety
  • Working with Heights Certificate would be highly regarded
