The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented People and Culture Compliance Officer to join our team. This newly created position is crucial in developing, implementing, and maintaining robust compliance systems and processes. The successful candidate will ensure that we meet all legal and regulatory requirements related to staff, promoting a safe and compliant work environment.
As our People and Culture Compliance Officer, your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating the compliance aspects of onboarding new hires, including employment contracts, tax forms, and identification.
- Ensuring all staff and contractors have valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) certifications.
- Implementing and monitoring child safeguarding practices.
- Establishing and maintaining a comprehensive policy register for HR policies and procedures.
- Overseeing the onboarding process for casual staff and contractors, ensuring compliance checks are completed.
- Managing first aid and child safeguarding training for all staff.
- Conducting regular audits to ensure ongoing compliance with child protection regulations and other HR best practice

- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
- Suitable for recent graduates with a relevant degree in HR, law, business, or a related field, or experienced professionals with a keen interest in compliance.
